...Your curse worked!! I found a much recent post from March with supposedly the latest, to now, update to the 2008 game that's somehow still getting updates in March of 2025, but I digress.
The files were indeed working!!!! I'll still see whether they actually open the game or not, but that's already a step above the last 2 hours.
I might have to give up on the whole online thing after all, or back up the game files and pre installation rar into a hard drive then try the multiplayer and other patches that originally ruined my files. It's just... The game is so taunting. You start up with a co-commander that's literally a substitute for the co-op player you were meant to play with! It's teasing me to endlessly search how to get it online. But, I might just have to accept my fate after all. Thank you, reader, for reading my rant.
