Sudden onset of fever without warning. The fever will suddenly die in a few hours, and then it will go back after a few hours. Meanwhile, you will suffer from diarrhea and vomiting. You will know if it's dengue if the blood test shows low platelet count. Even when hospitalized, the platelet count may decrease further. If you're weak, you will die of kidney failure caused by complications from dengue like what happened to a high school batchmate of mine.. I was lucky to survive dengue in 2013, but I was forced to fail a subject/course in university due to me getting confined for a week and then being forced to go absent for another week upon release from hospital.
