The Thompson has the right lines for it. It also manages to still look right as the Chinese caliber converted ones in 7.62mm, the PPS-43 magwell insert manages to fit pretty well in the .45 caliber magwell which had originally been sized for the larger drums.

I imagine it shouldn't be too much work making an M1A1 Thompson clone but in 10mm Auto, it's got the right size and the gun is suitably overbuilt for high powered pistol cartridges like .45 and 7.62mm

I mean I guess? They're shoulder fired and pistol caliber, only they're also full-auto/select-fire and volume of fire is the main point.
