i am rowan atkinson. i have always been rowan atkinson. but what it means to be rowan atkinson has changed significantly over my lifetime.
what must not change, however, is the right i, rowan atkinson, and all of you, though obviously much less meaningfully, have to express ourselves honestly. warts and all. as we so desire, and with all intent to insult. that is why i speak here today. that is why i will continue to speak, with my british tongue and wit, until my very last day, against censorship and political correctness. for without free speech, would any of my art have been possible? no, it wouldn't have.
