Well, for most of the art.. mspaint, and paint.net if I have to draw there too. Even with anti-alias. Sometimes used paint tool sai if it's used anymore.

having a plan can be good. It might help to have a visual of the goal of how far you want to take your "art journey" or whatever. go look at some art books/comics/movies/whatever you feel inspired by. don't get discouraged and try to have fun
