>The only good with true inherent value is land
Land only has value because of what it can be used for or produce. I know a free piece of land you can have. Really. You can take it, nobody wants it.

It's called Bir Tawil and is between Egypt and Sudan. Neither country wants it, because if one country takes it, they must forfeit their claim on more valuable piece of land. Neither side wishes to renounce their claim, so there is a piece of free land for you to have. It's over 2000km2

Is land in itself really the only source of value? Or is land a value only relative to it's utility?
The same thing could be said for gold. Humans have been attracted to the shiny yellow metal for longer than we have written records. Gold doesn't tarnish in air so it keeps it's beautiful polished yellow color forever.

Gold is denser than most metals, and the combination of density, softness, nobleness (nontarnishing) make it very easy to positively identify without chemicals or complicated apparatus. No other metal has the same physical characteristics of gold.
