Nah I think I genuinely buy the Tritoma theory now. It explains Kuma sending Luffy to Amazon Lily. During Kuma's flashback we saw Kuma visit the time skip Islands of every other Straw Hat besides Amazon Lily. Kuma probably went there with Dragon to meet Tritoma at some point, maybe Kuma even put two and two together that Tritoma was Luffy's mother. It would also explain Luffy's mother not being with Luffy since men aren't allowed on her island.
