Deku is a shallow surface level attempt at a Spiderman homage that thinks all you need to do is emulate the powers. Black Whip just straight up pretends to be webs instead of acting like an actual whip. (Pic related) It's especially embarrassing too considering how perfectly Hori was able to write All-Might as a superman figure. I really expected him to do better with Deku, but Koichi stomps him so hard it makes me wonder if Hori read vigs and just gave up on trying half-way through his own manga.
