Finns only have 5-13% east eurasian genetics, so they're hardly asiatic either. Finns were just the only ones other than Sami to actually live in a place like Finland before modern technology. So they went through like 50 bottlenecks where everyone that couldn't survive 8 months in -30c without food or social contact died off.

The tradeoff is that they have like 50 different unique hereditary diseases.
