That’s the scope of the thread here, going beyond having animal ears and a tail makes the design not a kemonomimi design which is why I listed those designs, if you think they’re costume-like it’s fine but those traits make them not kemonomimi characters.
And Renamon has a more dog-shaped face with a football shape. The dictionary defines a snout as

Which applies here, you can literally the whole mouth protruding from the face and being one with the nose. Characters like the OT2 character, Pulchra (and Lycon) from ZZZ have a human face shape but with a snout instead of a flat face, Lycon being more canine means it’s longer instead of the more feline shape of the other two. It’s a very common design in Japan. Meanwhile the Khajiit from The Elder Scrolls have cat faces not only in snout shape but skull shape as well. For comparison here’s the Thief from OT2, she has a normal, flat human face without a protruding mouth and her nose and mouth are detached.
