I think she was a little negligent, and should've followed up with Kris when they got home. But people are also wildly overreacting to her. Inviting Sans over was fine, her kid is a teenager that's not in mortal peril just because they missed curfew in a town where nothing happens. And there's no way she could infer Kris+Susie went on some insane life and death emotional adventure... rather than being down for all the various benign reasons teenagers can be down.
