BDS defined the attitude of the left, along with the narratives pushed by leftist mainstream media, for the entirety of his presidency and before. They lied, mischaracterized his every move, threw up incomplete facts only tangentially connected to what was actually happening to paint false narratives, and downplayed on-ground victories all to paint the picture of a bumbling moron who lied to get America into a costly war.
You see it when the same media tries to apply them to Trump, yet you also buy into it wholesale when applied to Bush. Two and a half decades worth of propaganda and so many of you will insist to your dying breathes that it was Bush who created the massive deficits which still plague this nation. Never mind that, in his second term, he actually brought down deficits until Democrats took back Congress and that the deficit explosion was a result of their spending at a time when he was politically weak coupled with the popping of the Housing Bubble (thanks Democrat programs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac!). No, it was Bush's fault, the fault of the man Democrats and media were on the attack against since he won the 2000 Primary.

>but he got us into wars!
America was attacked. Terrorism was the Immigration issue of the 2000s. Both wars were highly popular when they were launched; they became less popular as leftist narratives were pushed in the mainstream media and hamstrung his ability to act according the original plan.
