If the simulation can leave the Scepter it becomes real, the issue is that Lygus installed a firewall to prevent anyone from leaving (that's the "Zephyro" you see in the animated trailer).
Khaslana raged with the fury of thirty million Amphoreus and was able to break through (which is why "Zephyro" stops attacking him after they leave the Scepter)
