There might be a simpler and cleaner way to do it, but you can just toggle off effects in the normal gpose settings, play the animation, and then turn them back on when you have another animation you need effects on

I've never actually looked into that myself and any time I needed an animation without effects I'd do really stupid workarounds involving starting the animation really far away and moving them into place before the effects started or something, and now I feel sort of dumb for always ignoring these options
