"I think we have a bit of time left." Mel, ever cheerful and optimistic, saw the best case scenario. Not to say she was uncritical, however— Mel was easily the most intuitive of your wives. This was thanks to her class as a beguiler, her fairy lineage, and her detailed personality.
"Does it matter? Like, Master is totally gonna trounce them if they even look at us the wrong way." Bertha, on the other hand, had a simple mind and didn't care much for details. Though she more than made up for it with her raw physical strength and loyalty to you.
Bertha let out a breath she'd been holding as she stepped foot onto solid earth. "Finally some ground..." This warrioress had the unfortunate habit of getting sick when riding vehicles. She'd slowly made herself get used to these recent, temporary bouts of morning sickness, brought about by her approaching motherhood. Bertha usually loved watching the scenery pass by while she was on your airship or your mech.
It was all worth it to her, though.
"I must agree with Gerty and Ruby," Ayane said, "It is best to prepare and remain aware of our surroundings, since being too self-confident leads to defeat. Wouldn't you say, Master?" With a few wags of her tails, your shapely hag of a vixen gave you a soft smile.
"Dare any act in defiance of authority, without seeking the counsel of the forsaken specter known as Yumi the condemned spirit?" Said the ghost girl, referencing herself in third person again as she floated next to you. While she was initially hostile to everyone, she'd gradually warmed up to you, and the two of you now shared a type of trust. "Such audacity stirs the fury within my soul! As the spirit that haunts these lands, I cannot let this stand!"
"Let's focus on one thing at a time." You said. "We can always build more defenses later if we need to. Right now we need to check how things are going in the mansion."
"Yeah!" Mel exclaimed with a smile. "It feels like it's been waaay too long since we've been here!" She paused and took smelled the air. "You know, I've missed the freshness from this place."
"It's somewhat dulled because of the ocean's odor." Ayane said. Her animal-like senses, particularly her strong sense of smell, gave both her and Cattleya an edge in certain situations.
"Sure, we might be right next to the ocean, but," Mel continued, "It's also better than city's smoggy smell."
"I personally don't mind the ocean, mate." Your resident fish-loving catgirl replied.
And so you all went to the estate again, passing the time with small talk of meaningless things. And you found that everything was as you left it, for the most part.
"Speaking of smells, the heck is that stink?" Herta said as she covered her nose. There was a stench not too different from miasma. It was almost unbearable for your animal-like wives; Cattleya and Ayane ended up hiding their noses with cloths and scarves.
"Monster corpses." Bertha spoke from her experience as farm girl.

Bertha sighed out in relief. "Finally some ground..." This warrioress had the unfortunate habit of getting sick when riding most types of vehicles. It was a recent condition, definitely temporary, brought about by her approaching motherhood. It was a shame, since Bertha usually loved watching the scenery pass by while she was on the airship or your mech.
"I must agree with Gerty and Ruby," Ayane said, "It is best to prepare and remain aware of our surroundings, since being too self-confident leads to defeat. Wouldn't you say, Master?" With a few wags of her tails, your shapely hag of a vixen gave you a soft smile.
"Dare you act in defiance of authority, without seeking the counsel of the forsaken specter known as Yumi the condemned spirit?" Said the ghost girl, referrencing herself in third person again as she floated next to you. While she was initially hostile to everyone, she'd gradually warmed up to you, and the two of you now shared a type of trust. "Such audacity stirs the fury within my soul! As the spirit that haunts these lands, I cannot let this stand!"

"Sure, we're right next to the ocean," Mel continued, "But it's also better than city's smoggy smell."
"I personally don't mind the bloody ocean, mate." Your resident fish-loving catgirl replied.
And so you all went to the estate again. And you found that everything was as you left it, for the most part.
"What the heck is that smell?" Herta said as she covered her nose. There was a stench not to different from miasma. It was particularly unberable for your animal-like wives, with Cattleya and Ayane ending up wearing scarves and cloth to hide from the smell.
"I think I know what it might be." Bertha spoke from experience.
And her feelings were proven correct, as some monster corpses littered the vicinity— being too far for your housekeeping robots to clean them up.
After that was dealt with, you all decide to get some sleep.
Morning comes, and so do you after fulfilling your duty to your needy goddess.
"Ah, Master~" Herta, now full with your love, snuggled up to you. "Have I told you how much I love you?"
You reply by stroking her hair.
Suddenly you feel like your status board needs to be opened. You follow your instinct and open it.
