Social media especially twitter is a cesspool where people join in on mass bullying just to feel included/get attention. People do it on 4chan as well but it is not as severe.

You can say one politically incorrect thing on socmed and get thousands of random ppl telling you to die, I don't think the human brain was meant to handle this.
