Are there more innate/inherent options that don't rely on equipment or temporary effects?
Ideally it would be literal telepathy, but from the little research I did, that seems quite hard to acquire.

What does Shadow of the Demon Lord/Weird Wizard look like from the perspective of a 3.5e player?
I understand a character gets several classes as it levels up, but what about the rest? Does it have anything like skills, feats, spell slots?
Basically, how is it similar and how is it different?
The people I play 5e with from time to time expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of classes in 5e, but I know that 3.5e is a little too much for most of them as of now. Maybe having something between 5e and 3.5e when it comes to sheer number of character options would be a good step.
