How would American soldiers even help?
>invade Iraq or Afghanistan again on the way to Tehran
They'd get bogged down for years at least
>attack over water in from north
That'd be invading Russian waters and would force them to fight
>from the Persian Gulf
That'd mean a 1000km+ drive through a region with mountains on each side and plenty of time for the Iranians to fortify it. That's a meat grinder.
I just don't see how American boots on the ground would help.
