This reminds of when I actually asked that. He said that he considers him as "5 dollar whore" that you go to when you want something cheap and fast. He's considered improvement, but it never was met well. Higher quality art meant more time and effort, but people didn't appreciate it. And in terms of posting on deviantart, a 1 one hour drawing would get about as much reception as a a 4 hour image, so you can imagine how that would out (and remember, he DOES NOT have the fetish. No personal stake in the game, other than complete audience appeasement).
