That's basically why I come back now as a barely functional adult. I know this place made things worse, and I know I can't stop other maladjusted kids from showing up, but we can at least try and make it better. Offer guidance and comfort. I don't come back often enough to know for sure, but it seems like the threads are generally less doomer than they used to be.
