Freeze is already on the way out since they're done promoting the Escoffier/Skirk duo and based solely on the visible visions in the trailer it doesn't seem like they have anything groundbreaking planned for cryo (and thus freeze) in the near future
Electrocharged and Lunar Charged is getting its designated shill boss next patch (a fucking cactus) which also will get thrown into Stygian Onslaught before they even can release the 6.0 characters, but at least the next abyss rotation has a number of regular monsters even if you'll only be fighting them in small numbers at a time
Who knows what they'll do with Dendro

SO will probably remain pure single target unless they make resin bosses that actually revolve around large groups of enemies, but if they want to push aoe stuff again they can always fill the abyss with multiple enemies
