F&F movies are slop, but they don't pretend to be high art, and they still make bank. The point being that they prioritise the entertainment value over realism and it works. Maybe slop was the wrong term to describe what I feel is too much focus on making things "realistic" over prioritising being iconic and marketable. I feel media should take itself seriously, but not be afraid to be over the top in its action. Ground the cast with relatability, and pair it with gratuitous action scenes.
Also Ark is great, it might be buggy but it's still the best dino survival game out there, fulfills the dino taming and dino riding dream.
