because the 2020's 1:18 relaunch was themed around the old stuff, which was Hasbro fucking up, because they have no idea what fans want.

I mean, if you were around on /toy/'s GI Joe General back then, you'd know how unpopular Classified actually was. Not a lot of people were liking the new designs and a lot of people were basically buying just to buy, because that's basically it for GI Joe at the time.
It took a while for Hasbro to catch on that people wanted to see the classic designs in 1:12, and that's when the GI Joe General became positive again after what seemed like years of negativity. So now the Classified line is nothing but nostalgiashit.

So for long time GI Joe fans, the 1:18 collectors already had our fill of nostalgiashit, because they already made 8 versions of every original figure. I think the Classified revamp designs would have been better selling if they were in 1:18, which is why the Hiya line got a lot of hype..... which didn't pan out, thanks to Hasbro cockblocking them.
