Most normal raids don't require much preparation, they're meant to be short, fun fights ran casually and any danger of dying is typically outpaced by players in up to date gear. You should consider picking up current tomestones gear or crafted sets from the Marketboard to help give you a comfortable item level advantage if you're still nervous.
