But you can tone it down now. You can just discuss the story like normal, well-adjusted, mature people, not like kids who got bullied in the schoolyard and returned home with a black eye. It's a story. The fictional character doing fictional things to your fictional avatar shouldn't make you pop a blood vessel like this. It's not sensical. You can respond to sudden character reveals and plot twists like that with wonder and curiosity, not by feeling like the author is trying to insult you irl.
