"Took you long enough, guv." Cattleya said with a smile.

"Just wrapping up some business there." You said, before turning to the underlings. "Let's start from the beginning; How did you end up in Centria?"

They explained a few different things about airships and such, their stories not making sense until Smalls let it slip that they accidentally fell asleep on one of the airships' cargo holdings, making them end up here in Centria as a result. The airship owner, apparently only temporarily working for Forthwythe, refused to let them back on. However, they were able to swipe some information of someone that was making secret deals with Riverdale's nobleman. And, after contacting and agreeing to work with one of Forthwythe's shady suppliers, they ended up getting sacked after getting the blame for what some other employee did. But they weren't kicked out before they stole some information from them too, and they used it to get hired by Bed and Barn Inns, seeing as they needed some muscle that was willing to do shady work. They were directed to some sketchy gambling den, and, after nearly breaking one of the slot machines there, they got the job they currently had— of making trouble for other hotels around the place.

For the few times they didn't want to say anything, Cattleya's unsheathed claws were enough to convince them otherwise.

"You know," Mel said, "You guys could be in tons of trouble for associating with the Bandit King."

"Can ya prove it?" Said Boss. "Hey, don't give me that look. All we said back then were just words. And you never saw us in their camps, did ya?"

"It was gonna be perfect." Biggy sighs. "The Bandit King had it all planned out; made a deal with Westphalia to end up becoming some big shot duke-"

"Baron." Smalls corrected.

"Whatever, ya know what I mean! We were s'posed to have that mansion as our new castle. After settlin' in and destroyin' the goblin base and gettin' rid of all the monsters, we would'a had some new duds and gear and guns and magic stuff from Westphalia— then after gettin' what we want we'd up and tell that old bastard in Riverdale to stuff it! But some fuckin' Savant just falls down from the sky and just mucks everythin' up."

"That wouldn't of worked out, you know." Mel said. "Forthwythe was probably gonna double-cross you guys when it was all over."

"How'd you know?" Biggy said.

"I used to be his slave-wife. Um, some of his other former slave-wives could probably explain it better, but basically you guys wouldn't of been the first he'd of betrayed after getting what he wanted."

"Eh, guess it turned out alright in the end." Boss said. "I said it was a bad idea to get in a war with a Savant, and I was right."

"But you didn't say that?" Smalls, legitimately confused.

"Yeah, well... shut it!" Said Boss.

Well that was interesting. But at least you got a bunch of leads and new information about Forthwythe's and Rostchilde's tactics and connections.
