The crippling incident equivalent was in Detonation, with slightly earlier timing. Exceeds takes place after it would have happened in the main timeline. The difference being that she literally blew the hell up, losing an arm and vision in one eye and then was perfectly fine afterwards while Fate wasn't even fazed enough for it to affect her taking the Enforcer exam. The movie timeline fucking sucks.
