There's the occasional gem, but largely correct.

The worst thing is that when a gem does appear, it will inevitably vanish from whatever App store it was on within a few years. Mobile games are even more ephemeral than other kinds of video games. You can still play a PS2 game you've only just heard of with a little tenacity, but that pleasant phone game that tided you over during your waging? Gone forever.
