yeah no shit. Kishimoto said many times that he was completely bored of Sasuke but Shounen Jump kept forcing him to focus the manga more on his character and give him more and more screentime at the cost of all the other characters that Kishi actually wanted to focus on. many planned plotlines and character arcs cut because of angsty brooding Jin Kazama rip-off being way too popular for his own good. Naruto as a whole would've been a completely different and (probably) a much better series if Sasuke never became popular
