After using ePSXe for 20 years my friend convinced me to at least try DS and compare a game.
I can't believe how much better this is. I don't know if there's another one that's even better, but this one should be good enough for the rest of my life.
I especially like the ability to map hotkeys to gamepad buttons, including combinations, so I can set save state to R3+R2 for example.
And geometry correction.
