2 of MoP's major patches (.1 and .3) were pretty much on par with what would now be a .5 patch and at the time .3 was regarded as a lazy dogshit filler patch that did nothing but shitty daily garbage. Not that I think the current .5 and .7 patches being given in TWW have been good examples of what Blizzard could pump out if they really wanted to but it's still important to keep in mind that in the past where we had "more major patches", outside of potentially giving one more raid an expansion, the actual patch content in terms of shit to do is basically what we're still getting in .5 shit quality aside.
If you look at 5.3.0 and convert the scenario garbage into [visions revisited/duos/overcharged slop/etc] the idea of 5.3 is also comical.
