I went with riichi even if it drops me to 3rd, I thought that toimen winning drops me to 3rd anyway and maybe the riichi would put pressure on shimo/toimen, so I can just win at ryuukyoku anyway. If shimo tsumos it's likely dabunan dora so that fucks me over as well.
I'll probably never learn the discipline to no yaku dama in very close oorasu situations like these, but at least I found the tsumo this time around. And I guess it wasn't godawful here either way.
