"Hey, uh, Master? Isn't this, I dunno, too easy?" Mel seemed to share your worries.

"Yeah." You agreed. "I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop."

"A wise sentiment, my love." Ayane nodded her head.

"Why would we wait for shoes to drop?" Bertha asked aloud.

"It's an idiom." Ruby replied.

"What!? C'mon Rubes, you know I'm not an idiot." Bertha huffed.

"Of course not, Bertha." Ruby visibly stifled a sigh. "I was just kidding."

"I think Master meant that we should brace ourselves." Mel tried clarifying.

Everyone's worries, however, were proven to be in vain. Since you were all called less than ten minutes later and escorted to the top floor of the building.

Menial workers— mostly arachne— roamed around the place and, like usual, gave you a bit of trouble. They were always willing to argue for just about anything. Yet, thankfully, you and your wives had the excuse of being called by the leading bureaucrats here, so disengaging conversation was a simple matter.

An assortment of secretaries and lower level bureaucrats came to meet with you, consisting for the most part of elves and humans, accompanying you along with your wives and ghostgirl.

It was a bit less private than you expected it to be. By the end of the room, next to a large window overlooking a large part of the city, were the 5 councilors currently in Centria. All of them were willing to meet with a Savant in such a short notice, so they must realize that you could actually bring something to the table.

An elf, two gnomes, a dwarf, and a human all greeted you. And you in turn had Gerty introduce you all to the council.

The elf was called Elre. An expat from Westphalia, he seemed to be a serious sort that didn't tolerate much nonsense. Though he was good at composing himself, at times a snobbish side of his emerged on his face.

A dwarf named Joldmac Stormaxe was his polar opposite. Being born in Eastia he, like most dwarvish men, was jolly and skilled. Although there were a few flashes of sternness that his expression set upon whenever something he didn't like was happening.

The two gnomish men had a similar appearance and build. This was no surprise, considering they were both brothers. The eldest was known as Kalman and the younger as Wilcur, both men were of the Littlegarden family.

All five of the current councilors were all members of the Centrian Council of affairs, which acted like some sort of amalgamation between executive and legislative branches, gazed at you as you entered the room. According to the information you got from Ruby Rose, all except one of the councilors were dual-citizens of both Centria and Eastia/Westphalia.

The sole exception was a human, Pietro Cavellini— a distant relation to Umberto Cavellini. He didn't get any help from the nobility that resided in Centria, seemingly proud that he was able to get to where he was due to his own skill.
