I was such an ignorant child back then. I knew I was uncomfortable but my thoughts never extended further than that, to have empathy for the plight of women. If I was smarter then I would never have left my sister there. At first I would say 'hey you're too harsh she's not that bad', but years later I learned that some of the men would scream at her drunk because she was sassing them or something, and my Mom would side with the men and kick my sister out of the house (this was at 13 years old). I wish I had known that sooner.

This has probably veered off from the point of being related to the story and is just trauma dumping x100 so I'll bow out, but yeah he did an amazing job of making it an uncomfortable scene. And the fact that Susie immediately recognizes it (probably saw this sort of stuff in her own home) and gets upset and leaves shows that Toby Fox is treating it with some gravity. I'm excited to see where this story goes.
