Wilds is a short term success as it's already made a fuckton of money. The damage is long term; which will be decrease franchise sales. We'll mostly likely see a huge decline in sales for expansion, and then titles moving forward. Same way The Last Jedi did well (enough) financially, but destroyed the success of the Star Wars brand.
Portable title might still do well though, as they the core fanbase understands the difference between the branches of the franchise.
