Humans are the only true irrational animals in creation because we believe in tales and agree to pretend on things which don't have physical existence, for example here we have this guy at >>511191456 claiming Ukraine won't exist, if he and his buddies at FSB managed to convince everyone Ukraine doesn't exist then indeed Ukraine would cease existing, because Ukraine is a country, and a country is an idea, not a place or a people (although is connected with it), same with your or my country, the moment we stop believing in them they go puff like it happened to USSR and Yugoslavia and Prussia and so on.
But as long as we, in the intersubjective reality the human mind created during the cognitive revolution some 40k years ago, believe in Ukraine as a country then it could never be truly defeated, Putin could pour the entirety of Russia's population and empty its nuclear arsenal to ruin Ukraine's land, but after a while there will come ukrainians and sympathizer who will attempt (and probably succeed) to rebuild it from scratch in a way similar to how jews managed to rebuild Israel despite 2000 years of Diaspora and over a billion pissed off muslims trying to eradicate them (this same trick may work both for palestinians and kurds by the way, provided they don't give up and play their cards well).
We need irrationality like we need glucose, too much of it will kill us, but enough has made people literally touch the sky.
