"No detours. Straight there."

You head down the hall in formation. Gazimon is observant and finnicky, so she takes the rear and looks out for enemies. Every time you stop to take a break or examine the halls, he starts digging pitfall traps and covering them up expertly. You end up quite impressed by how well they're hidden. Even the white texture is near indistinguishable, save for the outer circumference, which is embossed ever so slightly. The flashing red light makes it impossible to see, and you're covered from the rear.

Porcupamon is in front, of course. Bella and Liza support you, one under each arm. After a while, you recover enough to shake Bella off, leaving Liza to walk with Elecmon. You check on your VPN. There's a decent amount of time left, now that you're moving with a team.

The radar room is upwards. You ascend at a steady pace, and end up running into another squad of Commandramon—who get taken out by Elecmon and Porcupamon in short order. At one point, an Espimon falls into a pitfall behind you, and starts yelling in alarm. Gazimon runs back to the trap and leaps into the hole, smashing the enemy before it can fly out with its jetpacks. The typically quiet Gazimon seems to transform completely once she has someone on the ropes. She curses up a storm and taunts him endlessly before deleting him and absorbing his data—an act that makes Porcupamon clench his bladed fists.

You try and make conversation to take your mind off the pain, and to not let Porcupamon get too mad over Gazimon habits.

"Did you guys get a lot of experience fighting the last time?"

"Yeah." Liza says. "But not as many as we've defeated. Kaus Gammamon did the most work."

"I wish we managed to find that data..." Bella bemoans. "If we could load it into our partners, we could help out too. You're doing all the heavy lifting."

Porcupamon has four times their killcount. You can't deny Gazimon's utility, though, and Elecmon is a well-balanced Digimon.

"I couldn't do this alone. Don't worry. Last time I really WAS all by myself."

"Yeah... I'm surprised you made it after all." Liza says.

Bella elbows her in the side, and you gasp in pain as the force causes your wound to spasm. Bella clasps her hands over her mouth and mumbles a shocked apology. You grunt and keep walking.
