Some part of them instinctively knows there should traditionally/historically be some kind of child-bearing and raising relationship following the experience. Women outside ones tribe would obviously be raped, but they would then be integrated into that tribe and taken care of and respected as mothers and wives, or at least as mothers and communal whores for all men to use and breed. There was some status for these roles, in particular the mother role, because they are important and necessary. A certain genuine love is afforded to them. Instead, today she gets a check and never sees these guys again, or only see them when it's time to be semi-raped and discarded again. That's the real trauma. These whores need children, a certain love, and a community.
