>It's incredible how many things the Parliamentarian is removing from the bill now. So far, she's removed tax cuts, education grants, pay cuts for federal employees, cuts to agency spending, repeal of budget provisions previously passed via budget bills under Biden & Obama, provision establishing rules for agency budget processes, funding caps for agencies, eliminations of agencies, provisions intending to shield the government from frivolous lawsuits, changes to administrative procedures designed to prevent executive agencies from disrupting the budget while issuing regulations, imposition of fees on businesses, cuts to welfare, reforms to have States handle more of federal welfare programs (making programs like food stamps more like Medicaid and unemployment benefits--Federal-State joint programs), sales of government property, allowing States to contribute money to federal law enforcement efforts, and repealing regulations that reduce federal revenues.
>If NONE of this belongs in a budget bill, what belongs in a budget bill? Just increased taxes? This is basically political rigging of the procedures. How are budget provisions that were OK four years ago suddenly breaking the rules?
