Yes and no. In NY they actually have a castle doctrine and allow for deadly force if you're being robbed. Yet you'll still be charged with a crime and the arrest record alone will be used against you for life even if you're acquitted or the charges are dismissed. The guy who was on the Anthony Cumia show explained how he can't get a concealed carry permit after shooting a nigger who broke into his home. The district attorney agreed it was self-defense, but now no judge in the state will allow him to carry a weapon for protection.
