It's not even a fear of a troon/woke audience. It's just the inevitable watering down of ANYTHING that happens once it becomes mainstream. The edges get rounded off, the peculiarities that made it unique start to disappear, the messaging becomes less complex and more politically/socially "safe," and eventually it becomes indistinguishable from the rest of the boring grey slop mainstream culture. It's already happening now.
