Japanese games are floundering, and all of the old soul people knew Japanese games for can't even be made without sweeping changes to appease westerners who hate Japan.

It's a terrible state and an unfortunate reality if you like Japanese games. Korean games get free reign in the global market because their government and fellow corporations isn't actively trying to sabotage them. Japan cannot stop stabbing each other in the back.
