VH doesn't hold up anymore except if you want a game that has corruption, birthing, bestiality, loli, decent story, an rpgm without non action combat and some freedom of progression ... at the same time.
You will find games that do individual things better,
DoL is a better sandbox game, Celesphonia (mod) has better corruption, Ricca has better gameplay etc.

but what you are hoping for is that there is a VH like... for a good reason
VH has too many fetishes that scares of buyers, the game was too ambitious and is too big for its own good. H-game devs figured they are better off making a smaller game every year
