Romans upheld sacred order and civilisation. You have an american slave revolt narrative inherited from nomadic jews and socialist christ sperging. It was the jews that brainwashed goy and created soviet terror to genocide pagans like they genocide europeans dozens of times across king slaying revolutions.

Baptism itself is a knock off of older initiation cults, of Orphic, Mithraic, or Neoplatonic bent, where the participant would have an 'epiphany', likely on drugs, that reveals some aspect of their divine nature. For a time, Mithraism competed with Christianity, so it adopted many of its traits.

Baptism is inert acting of a traditional pagan epiphany rite.

It's outward acting without any of the preceding spiritual logic or transformative experience of what they knocked off. They had to appeal to the sensibilities of the institutions and people they were capturing in typical entryist fashion. 'The Making of a Christian Aristocracy' book shows they shapeshifted at their convenience to brainwash the Roman aristocracy into following them and giving them financial support. Christianity had no solid values besides whatever convinced people to join.

In the reformation, it has taken on that early nature once more, hence the explosion of denominations, over 40,000 now.

Ironically, they call these antecedent cults 'propaganda', but they hold the strongest propaganda.

It holds power over the minds of the gullible and rigid-minded with its simplistic answers, divorced entirely from the spiritual origin of many of these practices and beliefs. It is the ultimate psyop slop. Just as it continues to be today.

Man naturally seeks some form of spiritual grounding. It suits our modern, practical, modernist world that seeks easy solutions. The modern world could not exist at all without it, arguably.
