Great question. I can't answer that because it's so situational. Sometimes kids need to take priority over a lot of things, even your job. Other times kids need to be patient because your job/woman need more attention.
Just remember all the good things your parents did for you and try to repeat them. Then remember all the mistakes they made and try to avoid them. It's shrimple :-)
