Pathfinder is just D&D with bigger numbers. And a lot of useless talents/feats that are fluffy, but why would you waste a precious feat slot to get a +2 to recall knowledge of this certain subject in one certain condition? The game I played was as students-turned teachers of a magic school and even then it never felt worth taking those sorts of feats.
As far as Star Wars goes there are now four different systems. Biggest are the West End Games' (WEG) D6 system originally from the 80s. Good system, can be clunky without some house rules. Is rather number crunchy, but not bad.
Fantasy Flight Games' system has tons of books, not all in print anymore. And specialized dice that take time to get down how they work. And since it's all theater of the mind, I always recommend house ruling its combat to accommodate minis on a grid map. Contrast to WEG's crunchiness, it's very fluffy. I liked it, but I can see how it wouldn't be to everyone's taste.
Saga Edition, made by Wizards of the Coast, runs similar to D&D 3.5. I only played a few games with it. I remember not caring for it but it's been so long I can't remember exactly what I didn't like.
Now there's Star Wars 5e, a fan project adapting Star Wars using D&D's 5th edition. This is the game I'll be starting next week, so I'll see how it goes.

Selonians have been around for ages. Though their recent recanonized appearance in comic looks too cat-like for me.

Just friends. The selonian character was being played by the GM's girlfriend.
