i keep having this dream about a pool
like a normal old indoor pool from the 90s or something
fluorescent lights, tile walls, the air smells like warm bleach

the weird part is the water
it’s always perfectly still
but when i dive in and try to reach the bottom, it just… keeps going
like the pool stretches downward the more i swim
like it knows what i’m doing and doesn’t want me to stop

i never run out of air
i don’t swim up
just keep going down and the floor never comes
last night was different tho
i touched something
not the floor
it felt soft, like a sleeping animal or a blanket underwater
and it moved

then i looked up
and the surface was just gone
just more water and blue light

i woke up gasping
bed was damp like i’d actually been there
no clue if this is just stress or something else
but i’ve had this dream 4 times in the last 2 weeks

anyone else get this?
