"Quite well, quite well. He's already had a fourth child. A girl this time." He said with a stroke of his greying beard, then glanced at you. "And whom might this be?"
"That would be my Master." Said your fluffy tailed wife as she gently held your hand. She showed off her ring with pride.
"Congratulations," He said with respect to you both. "May you live long and happily with your Master-husband."
Ayane would explain that she served as a midwife to one if Todred's wives, helping bring a son—Epur—into to this world.
After the initial greetings were over, he shook your hand. And so general introductions were made, with you introducing the other six wives (and Yumi) to him. He spoke about Mel's fairy heritage, since he was apparently knowledgeable in the field of fae magic. Noting that she had potential bursting from her, Todred said that it would be easier for her to learn the basics the sooner she began practicing it. These comments were enough to make your beguiler consider the nature of her own powers.
"In this realm of faded dreams," Yumi suddenly decided to add, "Where the untamed spirits of the young must be nurtured, schools for the innocent children should rise like sacred towers, standing alongside the hallowed halls of those already grown! Let such hallowed halls of learning arise for the youthful warriors of tomorrow!"
"An odd way of phrasing it, yet your ghostly wife is correct, Savant Doe." Todred nodded his head. "I share the opinion that the young should-"
"AAAH! WHY IS EVERYTHING CONSPIRING AGAINST ME?!?! JOHN DOE IS MY ACOLYTE. HE'S NOT MY-" Yumi's expression flushed, a dark blue hue adorning her face, before she had the chance to finish that statement. She took a deep breath and went back to sleep after telling you she was gonna take a nap.
"Hmm. I seem to have offended her. I hope this shall cause thee no issues, Lord Doe." Todred said.
"Nah. She does that every once in a while." You said.
"I see." He coughed. "Ahem. While I no longer am the executive force of this academy, I still wield enough influence to give a small tour of the vicinity. Come, Savant, let me show you what we have in store in one of Centria's greatest jewels."
And with those words he gave you all a tour of the place; beginning with the training grounds and classrooms that currently aren't in use. The former of these were spacious, almost as great as the courtyards, and consisted of gymnasiums and track fields. Meanwhile the classes reminded you of the classrooms in your old world, some were similar to lecture halls and others more like highschool rooms. He informed you that many debates were either held in the lecture halls or in a larger auditorium that was recently completed. This latter room was being used in class for a mock 'musical battle'. Whatever that was.
Eventually you find yourselves by the front desk, though this was hardly the end of the tour.
