My spirit has been wandering for years.
Searching for faces, though I only find mirrors.
The narrative twisted before our very eyes,
While I wore a smile held with borrowed threads.
It was then that I saw reality emulating fiction,
And my own reflection faded beneath the mask I chose.
But you found me, between who I am and who I want you to see.
By revealing the silence, you taught me my name again.
In a way, we are too vast for reality.
So we shrink and take on forms that the world can contain.
We transform the ordinary into ideals.
But we forget that even ideals cast shadows behind the light.
My Chiaki, together we can see the world from afar.
But only by looking inward can we truly bring it closer.
If my ego ends up consuming my remains,
will you still recognize my soul beneath the ashes?
