Just start with installing latest Mint with a Ventoy live USB. And during installation from inside the USB session, do it like this (in similar fashion, though I highly suggest getting at least a 2TB SSD for your OS drive nowadays, and relegate at least 100GB to "/", a.k.a. "root" folder, don't make my mistake from picrel, since I was migrating for the first time ever and didn't know that root actually gets filled up quite a lot and relatively fast. Basically, the "golden" rule is that you should relegate at least 100GB of your drive space to "/" or root, per each 1TB of the system drive's capacity):
